Overview

JCM see the relationship with their customers as one of a partnership. Adding value by reducing costs and providing benefits to the customer though innovative management of their assets. JCM is unique in this process, not only do we cover all stages of the asset management cycle, proactively managing the process, delivering benefits and reporting back to the customer on a regular basis. JCM's rapid strategic growth is testimony to its ability to make a major contribution.

Our customers are professionals in their sector, but they are understandably, product focussed. However it requires an altogether different set of management skills, people and organisation to maximise the use and recycling of assets.

The challenge is therefore to extract more value from the assets. Not simply writing them down and disposing of them on a cycle which was attuned to store refurbishment, rather doing a conditioned assessment and where possible recovering those assets through refurbishment, recycling them back into retail use.

Where this isn't possible, ensuring maximum value is extracted from the sale of assets, finally disposing of them in a way, which not only meets regulations, but is sympathetic to the environment and cost effective for the client.

Caring for and protecting the environment is a central part of our group philosophy, at JCM we comply with the strictest environmental standards and legislation.

The Business Model

JCM set about creating a unique business model based upon our in depth knowledge of equipment, its refurbishment options and sales potential. JCM integrated this with warehousing, logistics and project management support, effectively producing a one-stop solution for Asset Management.

The benefit to our customers depends on the extent of our range of services that they utilise. For example, some customers simply use our sales and marketing process to sell their assets, some use JCM to de-install and remove assets. For customers contracting out of the management of the complete asset life cycle from order call off, through re-cycling, to sale and disposal, JCM can average £3 - £5 of benefit for each £1 spent with JCM.

Infrastructure

Behind our customer facing staff is a systems infrastructure to enable us to underpin our customer service levels and meet our targets and deadlines. We are technologically advanced in the field of asset management.

In parallel with the systems to organise and control the physical movement of assets, there is the decision support system, which is designed to achieve efficiency. We have made major investments in the information technology systems, including a 60 terminal PC-based Ethernet network system, remote data capture directly from site, and integration with our customer systems.
